GIF Project featuring Thomas O'Malley

The inspiration for this GIF was of all the GIFs out there that showcased pets doing the silliest of expressions that it is meme-worthy.  I did use the same settings as my style photo expect I increased the exposure a bit to 1/60. In addition to those settings on my phone's PRO mode, I used my phone's GIF mode to capture 20 images of Thomas O'Malley the cat doing his thing. Thankfully, I was able to edit the speed of each frame to 0.1 seconds in Photoshop to make it more fluent. Also, it acts as a sequel to my light project from Digital Photo 1 as it does take place in the same setting; with O'Malley on the shelf in my downstair's laundry room with the familiar blue currents with the sun's rays peeking from behind, except it is in the morning. The mood the GIF gives off is how O'Malley has a no-nonsense attitude to life by casually looking out the window. The elements in the GIF are the shelf the gives O'Malley the height that gives off the presence of him being the "king of the house" with the blue curtains and wall symbolizing the calmness of his personality. The strongest element in the GIF is O'Malley's tail flicking as he turns his head towards the window because it adds to his unique personality. Also, if the GIF was a cinemagraph, the tail flicking is the highlighted feature. The weakest, though a minor one, is the jump in the GIF because I do not own a tripod for my phone, although I do have a selfie-stick. This was a nice refresher of what I learned about GIF making in my first year of CTE and how I can use the GIF mode on my Galaxy S6 phone camera. Next time when I go and make a GIF and it involves one of my cats, I will use my selfie-stick as a tripod.
